Clark serves as President and on both the Executive Management Committee and the Investment Committee of Western America, directs all activities associated with investments and marketing, establishes Western America’s policies and procedures and directs its day-to-day activities. Mr. Clark is also a Principal of Raskin Partners, a full-service commercial real estate brokerage firm, and Managing Member of Iron Mountain Equities LLC, an investment management firm. He is currently serving a two-year elected term as a member of the Board of Directors of the Tenant-in-Common Association (TICA), a national industry association, where he has also been elected to be a member of the Executive Committee.
Jim has been a real estate investment manager since 1976. He has developed or managed office (individual and mid-rise), medical office, industrial, shopping centers and business parks totaling approximately 3,000,000 square feet and multi-family properties totaling approximately 4,000 units in multiple states. He also served four years as the Editor of a global print publication about risk analysis, risk management, and financial engineering information and methods, with 10,000 subscribers, many at the world’s largest financial, information and governmental institutions, in 85 countries globally. He has also taught risk analysis methods and software to financial analysts of several major companies in the United States and Latin America.
Clark received a Bachelor of Science degree in liberal studies from Excelsior College (formerly University of the State of New York) in 1979, majoring in chemical engineering and liberal studies and graduating with Phi Kappa Phi and Tau Beta Pi honors. Clark holds a real estate broker’s license in the State of Washington.
Jim is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Issaquah and has a long record of service to the Boy Scouts of America. He has been awarded a Boy Scout Council’s highest adult honor, for distinguished service to youth.
